Fire is a phenomenon
that all of us can readily recognise, but the majority
of people fail to fully understand. Once started, it
can grow at an alarming rate and rapidly threaten
both life and property.
The potential for a fire to occur exists within every
daily activity, not least when people are at work.
With the introduction of Fire Precautions (Workplace)
Regulations, which came into force on 1st December
1997,
from a fire safety aspect, the employer will need to decide:
- What are
the fire safety risks?
- How serious
is the risk of fire?
- What, if anything,
needs to be done?
- What safety
training to give to staff?
We
can provide Fire Safety Training for company staff
on your premises in accordance with Home Office
Fire Safety at Work. A course of particular importance,
because of the legal requirement contained within
the 1971 Fire Precautions Act, 1974 Health & Safety
at Work Act and the Fire Precautions (Workplace)
Regulations 1977.
